The family has also not reached the civil hospital of Mansa to identify Jasvir Jassi.

SSP Nanak Singh’s statement on the funeral

Mansa SSP Nanak Singh has told that the family may reach Patiala directly where the post-mortem is to be conducted. He said that if the family refuses to take the body, Jasvir Jassi will be cremated after getting his identity. Earlier, Sikh organizations have appealed to the administration not to cremate him in Morinda.

Eighth Pehar Tehal Seva organization has appealed to the administration not to cremate Jasvir Jassi, the main accused of blasphemy, in Morinda. Addressing the congregation, the leader of the organization, Gurpreet Singh, said that the person who insulted Guru Sahib has been punished, but Jasvir Jassi, the main accused of blasphemy, should not be cremated on the land of Murinde.
