Rajasthan evading arrest in the murder of two people in Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar Haryana In the last five years, he has become a prominent face in controversies in the name of cow protection. Bajrang Dal member Monu (30) in a video message denied his involvement in the said murder and claimed that he was in a hotel at the time of the incident. He also shared the CCTV footage of the hotel on social media. He had joined the Bajrang Dal in his home district of Manesar as a co-convenor in 2011 and became a member of the district cow protection task force formed by the authorities in December 2015 after Haryana’s cow protection law came into force.
Monu Manesar is now the District President of Bajrang Dal and remains in controversy regarding the activities of his cow protection group. He keeps sharing videos of alleged cattle smugglers being chased, caught etc. However, Monu claims that he is receiving death threats from suspected cattle smugglers. The Haryana Police had registered two FIRs on her complaints last month. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged that the BJP government of the state is protecting such people.

Naseer (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35), residents of Ghatmika village in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, were allegedly abducted on Wednesday and their bodies were found in a burnt car at Loharu in Haryana’s Bhiwani on Thursday morning. A police official said that Junaid has a criminal record of cattle smuggling and has five cases registered against him in different police stations.
The people named in the FIR are associated with Bajrang Dal.
Bharatpur Range Inspector General of Police Gaurav Srivastava said the people named in the FIR are linked to the Bajrang Dal, but whether they were involved in the crime is yet to be ascertained. Monu was earlier named in a case of attempt to murder registered at Gurugram’s Pataudi police station on February 7. While absconding, Monu Manesar issued a video message declaring himself innocent in the latest case. Monu said that my colleagues and I have no role, but the Rajasthan Police has registered a case against me and my group members. I don’t even know the dead.

Monu Manesar said that at the time of the incident, I was in a hotel in Gurugram along with my team members. I am also sharing the CCTV footage of the hotel, which will show that we were present in the hotel. Bharatpur Police has falsely implicated us and this is a conspiracy to defame my team and my organization.
