Three gangsters have been arrested from Zirakpur in Mohali. The police have recovered 5 pistols and 14 cartridges from their possession. Along with this, some videos of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and some other pictures from the car have also been found from his mobile. A Punjab number Safari vehicle and a Chandigarh number car have also been recovered from the accused.
SSP Mohali Dr. Sandeep Garg said that on the basis of secret information, the blockade was made to catch the accused. He said that when the accused reached near the airport road petrol pump from Zirakpur, they were caught by the police. After this, when the mobile phones of the accused were checked, most of the videos were found of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Sandeep Garg said that many other pictures were also found in the car of the accused. Preliminary investigation revealed that all the three accused wanted to go after gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The arrested accused have been identified as Rajwinder Singh (31) resident of Ferozepur district, Lovepreet Singh (28) resident of Gurdaspur and Pulkit Mehta (27) resident of Gurgaon district Haryana. A case has been registered against the accused in Mohali’s Sohana police station under the Arms Act and other sections of the IPC.
The police investigation revealed that a murder case registered against the accused Rajwinder Singh in the year 2018 is under consideration in the court. This case was registered in Gurgaon, Haryana. Rajwinder Singh is currently out on bail in this case. Apart from this, a case of Arms Act is also registered against Rajwinder in Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Accused Lovepreet Singh has also been named in a case registered in Gurdaspur.
