Punjab Railway Stations: The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, is going to launch the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Yojana’ to renovate 500 railway stations across the country on Sunday. Under this plan, 22 railway stations of Punjab including Chandigarh Railway will be revived. These railway stations will be equipped with modern facilities. Prime Minister Modi is going to lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 500 railway stations across the country through video conferencing at 11.30 am.

500 crores will be spent

Under this scheme, the central government has kept a budget of Rs 500 crore for the renovation of railway stations in Punjab including Chandigarh. So that the central government and the railway department can provide better rail connectivity and hi-tech facilities at the stations to the people of the country. Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh Banwari Lal Purohit has thanked Prime Minister Modi for this scheme. Along with this, Punjab BJP has also thanked PM Modi. Along with this, Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav has also thanked PM Modi on behalf of the people of Punjab.

On this occasion, PM Modi said that the number of modern trains in the country is increasing rapidly. PM Modi said that good seats are available at the railway stations of the country. Better waiting rooms are being constructed at the stations. Thousands of railway stations in the country have free Wi-Fi facility.

PM Modi said that it has been seen that many youths have taken advantage of this free internet. It is said that due to this, the youth has made a lot of progress due to good education. He said that now efforts are being made to give better and better experience to the people from the train to the railway station. The aim of the country is to make railway travel accessible and enjoyable for every citizen and passenger.

These railway stations will have a new look

Chandigarh, Kotakpura, Sirhind, Ferozepur Cantonment, Abohar, Fazilka, Pathankot City, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar Cantonment, Phillaur, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Dhandari Clan, Mansa, Patiala, Anandpur Sahib, Rupnagar, Nangal Dam, Dhuri, Sangrur, Maler Kotla, Muktsar Railway stations will be given a new look. Circulating area, waiting hall, toilet, lift, escalator, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi will be arranged at these railway stations. Along with this, there will be significant changes in the infrastructure of the railways.
