Taking a strict stand on illegal mining, the Punjab government has taken strict action against the ongoing illegal mining in Pathankot on Friday. Former Congress MLA from Pathankot Joginder Singh Bhoa has been arrested in the case of illegal mining.

It is worth mentioning that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has arrested former Congress MLA Joginder Pal Bhoa from Pathankot in the case of illegal mining and with this action they have zero tolerance against illegal activities. The policy has been confirmed.
On Friday, illegal mining was caught at a crusher site running in the name of Joginder Bhola's wife near the Ravi river. On this occasion SDO Miners also reached the spot, who revealed illegal mining going on in large quantities through Paklane machines and tippers.
On this occasion, Joginder Pal Bhoa tried to interfere in the legal work, but the administrative authorities have also arrested Bhoa and one of his associates Surjit Singh alias Ladi from the spot. A Paklen machine and a tipper have also been recovered on this occasion.
