Mobile phones were again recovered from Goindwal jail

Once again Goindwal Jail is in the headlines. Once again, a large number of mobile phones have been recovered from Mr. Goindwal Sahib’s jail. While SIM cards, data cables, chargers and other materials have also been found, regarding which the police of Thana Goindwal Sahib have registered two separate cases and named three people on the complaint given by the jail administration.

Assistant Superintendent of Jail Sukhwinder Ram said that a smart phone, a head phone, a data cable were recovered from Narinder Singh, a resident of Sarhali, nominated under the NDPS Act. While Kanwalpreet Singh, a resident of village Kang which is closed here under the NDPS Act, 1 phone with keypad, SIM card was recovered.

Similarly, a phone with a keypad was found from Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Kot Khalsa, Amritsar, accused of the NDPS Act. Apart from this, a sudden search was conducted in Barrack No. 1 of Ward No. 8 and 1 touch screen, 5 keypad phones and three SIM cards were found in an unclaimed condition.

Similarly, Assistant Superintendent Harish Kumar said that a surprise search was conducted in Barrack No. 2 of Ward-8, then 7 touch screen and 2 keypad phones, 8 SIM cards, 2 data cables, 2 headphones and two chargers were recovered from there. The head of police station Goindwal Sahib said that the investigation of both cases has been handed over to ASI Gurmej Singh and ASI Ranjit Singh respectively.
