MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj: The foundation stone of the joint underground pipeline project at village Bhawanigarh and Kakra for efficient use of treated water from Sewage Treatment Plant (4 MLD) Bhawanigarh by Punjab Government under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was laid today by MLA Sangrur Narinder Kaur Bharaj. kept

After performing the foundation stone ceremony, the MLA said that the construction of this project will cost 152.10 lakh rupees, the entire amount will be given as subsidy by the Punjab government. He said that under this project, 360 hectares of land will be covered for irrigation, which will benefit 67 families.

The MLA said that this project will increase crop yield and save 20 to 30 percent of ground water. He emphasized the need for water conservation.

On this occasion, Department of Land and Water Conservation, Divisional Land Conservation Officer of Punjab Sangrur Gurbinder Singh Dhillon, Sub-Divisional Land Conservation Officer Jaspal Singh and Land Conservation Officer Mr. Shreans Mittal were also present.
