US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has arrived in India for a two-day visit. Lloyd Austin met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at Maneksha Center in Delhi. Austin was given a tri-service guard of honor in Delhi in the presence of Rajnath Singh. This is the second visit of the US defense minister to India.
A bilateral meeting was held between the defense ministers of the two countries. In the conference hall, Rajnath Singh welcomed Lloyd Austin by shaking hands and then both embraced each other. After the bilateral meeting, Rajnath Singh and Lloyd Austin came out of the Maneksha Center in Delhi. He put the American Defense Minister in the car and waved goodbye to him.
Earlier, Austin visited India in 2021. Austin will be the fourth US cabinet-level secretary to visit India this year. Earlier, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo visited India in February and March.
