In the fake degree scam of D-Pharmacy in Punjab, the vigilance team is now engaged in making a list of students who have obtained fake degrees. Due to which the layers of D Pharmacy scam have started to emerge. The SIT, headed by the AIG of Vigilance, has so far received information about more than 300 fake degrees. Hundreds of people have been working in government departments for many years by obtaining fake degrees from 8 institutions across the country.
A senior vigilance official has confirmed this. The number of people getting fake certificates/degrees can be more than a thousand. The Vigilance Bureau will register a case against 20 organizations. Vigilance had identified 20 organizations in its investigation. Now action will be taken against their owners.
The complete de-pharmacy records of these institutions from 2005 to 2022 will be examined to see when people have issued de-pharmacy related certificates. It is alleged that he issued fake certificates of other states after taking huge amount of money, on the basis of which youths are doing medicine business in Punjab. Further action will be taken by checking the record of 17 years of D-Pharmacy.
Vigilance investigating officers say that when the vacancies were released for government job seekers related to D-Pharmacy, which departments were advertised for recruitment with relevant qualifications, all this will be investigated. Those taking this certificate do not have solid and complete knowledge about medicines. The Vigilance Bureau has also started checking the records of those who have managed to get government jobs by preparing fake documents.
