The Governor of Punjab has also approved the holding of elections of 39 municipal councils in addition to the Municipal Corporation elections. Currently, no notification or letter has been written regarding them.

Election according to old wards or new ones

There is a lot of confusion about whether these municipal elections will be held according to the old ward divisions or the new ones. In fact, the work of warding has not been completed yet.
