Bhagwant Mann direct interface with youth: To make the youth an active partner in the decision-making process of Punjab, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday launched a first-of-its-kind program to connect directly with the youth.

Talking to the students during the first program at the Government College for Girls here, the Chief Minister said that India is a young nation with a majority population below 40 years. He said that this population can play an active role in nation building, provided their unlimited potential is utilized in a positive manner. Bhagwant Mann said that this program is a step in this direction as it will make the youth equal partners in the social and economic progress of the state.

The Chief Minister further said that the state government will soon start an electric vehicle based shuttle bus service for girls. He said that this service will be started in major cities of the state, Patiala, Ludhiana, Amritsar and other places. Bhagwant Mann said that this is a big step towards ensuring better public transport for girls in these big cities.

Calling on girls to come forward and play a decisive role in the field of active politics, the Chief Minister said that it is the need of the hour to make the decision-making and law-making process effective in the state. He said that politics has an impact on every sphere of life and if girls come forward in this sphere then surely they will play an important role in the progress and prosperity of the country. Bhagwant Mann said that girls are like an asset to the society and they can prove to be efficient legislators. He said that 11 women candidates registered a big victory during the 2022 assembly elections from our party.

The Chief Minister said that two of these 11 women MLAs have also been made ministers. He said that apart from this, for the first time in the history of the state, there are five female SSPs in different districts. and seven female DCs. have been appointed Bhagwant Mann said that six special women’s police stations have been established in the state and very soon such police stations will be established in all the districts.

Expressing satisfaction that girls have surpassed boys in every field, the Chief Minister said that this shows the movement of women empowerment. He said that it is a matter of great pride that girls are passing these competitive exams with hard work and perseverance. Bhagwant Mann expressed hope that this will bring qualitative change in the society.

The Chief Minister also advocated giving equal opportunities to girls in all fields. He said that the results of jobs and educational examinations show that girls are ahead of boys in every field. Bhagwant Maan said that this pace will definitely be continued by encouraging the girls to pursue careers in every field.

Urging the parents to encourage the youth’s ideas and their inventions, the Chief Minister said that this would help them reach new heights in life. He said that every new invention faces opposition and the whole world opposes anything new. He said that later these inventions become an essential part of our life and pave the way for the development of the society. Bhagwant Mann said that parents should encourage their children to take new initiatives so that they can succeed in life.

The Chief Minister said that getting marks or getting high percentage should not be the only goal of students. He said that the aim of education should be to ensure the all-round development of students. Bhagwant Mann said that the students should also be thankful to their parents and especially the teachers for preparing them for the next competitions.

The Chief Minister said that Punjabis have been blessed with an incredible spirit of hard work and excellence, due to which they have made a place for themselves in the world. He clearly said that one does not rise overnight because hard work and honesty are the keys to success. Bhagwant Mann said that every person should discharge his responsibility with full professional commitment, diligence and integrity.

The Chief Minister said that many reforms are needed in the education sector so that the youth can benefit. He said that the government is already working tirelessly to ensure that the education curriculum is designed in such a way that it helps the youth to get jobs. Bhagwant Mann said that its main objective is to ensure that the youth can become active partners in the socio-economic progress of the state.

The Chief Minister appealed to the youth not to be proud of their victory, but to work with humility and work hard for further success. He said that self-confidence and positive outlook should be the basic qualities of every person’s personality but there should be no arrogance in it. Bhagwant Mann said that these qualities are the key to success in every field and it should be applied in the right way.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the students and answered their questions, besides announcing a grant of Rs. one crore for library block, state-of-the-art auditorium-cum-multipurpose hall and Rs. 51 lakh for others.
