Manipur violence: The violence between the two communities that started on May 3 in Manipur is still going on. Meanwhile, this issue has also been raised in the Parliament of Britain. Special Envoy for Religious Freedom in the UK and Member of Parliament Fiona Bruce on Thursday accused the BBC of not reporting the Manipur violence properly.

Questions on Bruce in the British House of Commons – Many churches have been burned in Manipur since May, more than 100 people have been killed. More than 50 thousand people have to leave their homes. Not only the churches but also the schools attached to them have been targeted. Bruce said it is clear that this is all being planned and that religion is a big factor in these attacks.

Help was sought from the Church of England
Bruce said people in Manipur are crying out for help. He has asked what the Church of England can do to help those people. Bruce has said all these things on the basis of a report on international religious freedom.

Along with this, another Member of Parliament named Andrew Sales praised Bruce for raising the issue of Manipur in the British Parliament. He said that Bruce has done a great job in bringing this issue to the attention of Parliament. “I hope the Archbishop of Canterbury will look into this issue,” Andrew said.

America said on Manipur – if India asks for help, then we are ready
The American ambassador in India said on the video of the nude parade of women in Manipur that it is an internal matter of India. During an event in Washington, he was asked about the situation in Manipur. On this he said that wherever he sees such violent incidents, he feels sad. Garcetti said – I haven’t seen the video yet. As a human being, my sympathies are with the people of India.

Before this, on July 6, America had also expressed concern over the violence in Manipur. Then Eric Garcetti has said that if India asks for help, we are ready for it. He said – we know that this is an internal issue of India, we hope for peace as soon as possible.

He had said – we have no strategic concern about the situation in Manipur, we are concerned about the people. One does not have to be an Indian to express concern for the children of Manipur and the people dying there.
