Ingredients to make Sabudana Khichdi
Sabudana – 1 bowl
Peanuts – 1/2 bowl
Potato – 1
Green coriander chopped – 1 tbsp
Green chili chopped – 2
Lemon – 1
Curry leaves – 7-8
Cumin – 1 tsp
Ghee/Oil – 1 tbsp
Rock salt – as per taste

How to make Sabudana Khichdi
To make sago khichdi on Mahashivratri, clean most of the sago and wash them and soak them in water for 2-3 hours. In this time the sago will become soft and puff up. After that put peanuts in a pan and roast them on low flame. When the grains get roasted, turn off the gas and let the grains cool down. When the peanuts cool down, mash them with your hands. This will separate their peels. After this, grind the grains coarsely.

Now finely chop potatoes, green chillies, green coriander leaves. After this, put oil in a pan and keep it on medium flame to heat. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin and fry it. After a few seconds add curry leaves, green chillies and fry them. After this put potatoes in the pan and cook. When the potatoes become soft, add soaked sago and mix it well with a ladle.

Now cover the pan and let the Sabudana Khichdi cook. Cook the khichdi for 5 minutes. During this, keep stirring the Sabudana Khichdi in between.
