Recently, a huge reserve of 59 lakh tonnes of lithium has been found in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Here, the possibility of lithium is also being told in Jharkhand. The possibility of finding lithium has been expressed in the mica belt, especially in the area of Koderma and Giridih. Also, its possibility has been expressed in the area of East Singhbhum. According to the Department of Mines and Geology, Atomic Energy Corporation has expressed possibilities in these places. The Department of Geology is going to start the search soon. At the same time, the Geological Survey of India (GSI) has started its search in the mica belt at the preliminary level.

Stocks have been found in Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir
In India, 1600 tonnes of lithium reserves have been found in Mandya, Karnataka. At the same time, recently a huge reserve of 59 lakh tonnes of lithium has been detected in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. India currently meets all its lithium requirements by importing it. As part of India’s energy security plans, the Geological Survey of India (GSI) has taken up a total of seven lithium exploration projects in Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan.
