Kanpur: After 36 years, preparations are on to hold the ICC World Cup match at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium. The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has demanded two matches from the BCCI. One match can be held at Green Park Stadium and the other at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. For the first time, India has got the responsibility of organizing all the matches of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup. It will start in October. A total of 48 matches will be played in different stadiums across the country. At the same time, BCCI is engaged in finalizing the stadium for these matches, and has also sought proposals from the Cricket Association of all the states.

In which West Indies won by 25 runs. In view of the possibilities of the match in Green Park, preparations have been intensified. Two teams will be selected from Super League matches, the remaining eight teams will be qualified for the tournament on the basis of ICC rankings. These 8 teams include England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand, West Indies, India, Australia and Afghanistan.

Wankhede in Mumbai, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, M Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru, M Sundaram in Chennai, Sardar Patel in Ahmedabad, PCA Stadium in Mohali, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, VCA Stadium in Nagpur, MCA in Pune Matches can be played at Green Park in Kanpur, SCA Stadium in Rajkot and Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati.
