The United Kingdom police also reached the spot. However, after some time the supporters of Khalistan fled the place. This matter came to light at a time when not only Britain but Khalistani supporters in different countries are targeting the Indian High Commission.
Increased security at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco
Along with this, in view of the proposed pro-Khalistan rally on July 8, the security of the Indian Consulate in San Francisco has been increased. Barricades have been erected outside the embassy and police personnel have been deployed. It is worth mentioning that on July 2, Khalistan supporters attacked the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. Along with this, security has also been increased near the Indian Embassy in Washington DC. Indian Ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu reached the embassy and reviewed the security arrangements.
After Nijhar’s murder, the call for demonstration was given
Many pro-Khalistan extremists have died in recent days. In June last year, Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nijhar was shot dead in Canada. Nijhar was shot dead by two youths in the parking lot of the Gurdwara. Nijhar’s name was on NIA’s most wanted list.
Let us tell you that Hardeep Singh Nijhar used to work with Gurpatwant Pannu who was campaigning for Khalistan. A day before the protest in London, NSA Ajit Doval held talks with the UK’s NSA. Indian officials were assured of safety in Britain.
