New Delhi. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take appropriate steps to address the concerns of Kashmiri Pandit employees and allow them to work in the Kashmir Valley without guarantee of security. Don’t be forced to do it. He also wrote a letter to the Prime Minister claiming that the attitude of the Jammu and Kashmir administration towards Kashmiri Pandit employees is insensitive.

Rahul Gandhi said in the letter, “The recent selective killings of Kashmiri Pandits and others by terrorists have created an atmosphere of fear and despair in the valley.”

He said, “Prime Minister, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met me at the Jammu leg of the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra to unite the whole of India in the thread of love and unity. He informed that the government officials are forcing him to go back to work in the Kashmir Valley.

According to the Congress leader, in these circumstances it is a cruel move to force them to go to work in the valley without any surety of safety and security. Till the situation improves and becomes normal, the government can take services from these Kashmiri Pandit employees in other administrative and public facilities.

He said, “I have assured Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters that I will try my best to convey their concerns and demands to you. I hope that as soon as you get this information, you will take appropriate steps in this regard. (agency)
