Pole exposed after overturning pickup van

According to the information, SHO Vinod Kumar and police patrol vehicles reached the spot on the information of overturning of an onion laden pickup van near Behratoli of Palkot Road in Gumla city. Where the driver Akshay Kumar and co-driver Blaster Chamar (34 years) trapped in the vehicle were pulled out of the vehicle. He was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. After this, the police investigated the sacks of onions loaded in the vehicle. 13 bags of ganja kept hidden under onions were recovered. The sack of Ganja was of seven, six and a half and five kg, which was seized and brought to the police station.

The pickup van was going to Aurangabad in Bihar

In this regard, SDPO Manish Chandra Lal told that the weight of Ganja is 433 kg. The police also seized the white colored pickup van. Both the arrested driver and the deputy driver are relatives. Both were going to Aurangabad in Bihar with a consignment of hemp from the vegetable market of a person named Sarika from Sambalpur. On reaching Gumla, seeing the patrol vehicle, the vehicle overturned uncontrollably near Behratoli Munshi Lodge while trying to drive away. Due to which the car has been caught.

Consignment was to reach Aurangabad vegetable market

He told that the consignment of Ganja was to be delivered to Manoj Kumar Chaurasia at Aurangabad vegetable market in Bihar. The police is probing other points mentioned along with his name. More will be revealed after the investigation. Gumla police personnel including Thanedar Vinod Kumar, SI Sudama Ram, Dilip Tudu, Vivek Chaudhary, Mohammad Mojjamil were involved on the occasion.
