The 3-day program of National Jute Festival was inaugurated by Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam at Rani Jyotirmoyee Stadium on Monday. DC Varun Ranjan, SP HP Janardanan, CMD Jute Corporation of India Ajay Kumar, Zila Parishad President Julie Thrashmani Hembram, DDC Shahid Akhtar and others were present on the occasion. Many art crafts attracted people during the National Jute Festival. During this, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi made of jute and the rickshaw made of jute were also the center of attraction. Apart from this, a selfie point was also made, where people fiercely took selfies. Attractive figures of Shibu Soren and Chief Minister Hemant Soren were made in the stall set up by the District Agriculture Office. This attracted a lot of people.

65 stalls were engaged in the festival

There were 65 stalls in the National Jute Festival. Stalls of jute goods, stalls for employment generation, stalls set up by the Agriculture Department and other stalls were set up. Due to the child’s head getting stuck in the iron grill amid the festivities, people got upset for some delay, but the child’s head was safely taken out with promptness.
