Suspended IAS Pooja Singhal appeared in the ED court on Thursday in the money laundering case related to MNREGA scheme of Khunti. Apart from these, CA Suman Kumar, sacked junior engineer Ram Binod Prasad Sinha and the then assistant engineer of Khunti Shashi Prakash were produced in the ED court through video conferencing.
The court of Special ED Judge Prabhat Kumar Sharma fixed March 23 for hearing on the point of charge formation of Pooja Singhal, Suman Kumar and Shashi Prakash. Before this, there is to be a hearing on the discharge petition of Pooja Singhal on March 16. The court has already framed charges against Ram Vinod Prasad Sinha.
Birendra Ram’s judicial custody extended till 23
Ranchi. The suspended Chief Engineer of Rural Works Department, Birender Ram, was produced through video conferencing in the court of ED Special Judge Prabhat Kumar Sharma on Thursday. The ED court has extended the judicial custody of Birender till March 23. In the money laundering case, ED has taken Birendra Ram on remand three different times and interrogated him for 12 days. After this, on March 7, he was produced at the residence of the special judge of ED, after which he was sent to jail.
