Jalandhar Loksabha By Poll Live Result : Aam Aadmi Patri has succeeded in breaking the 24-year-old stronghold of Congress in Jalandhar. Sushis Kumar Rinku, who came to AAP from Congress, has defeated Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur with a margin of 58691 votes.

Congress candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku got 302097 total votes while Karamjit Kaur who came second got 243450 votes. For the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress, the Jalandhar by-election was a question of quality, for the Congress it was a challenge to save the stronghold, then for AAP, one and a half years of work was at stake.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had told the people of Jalandhar that if we win once, if we do not show up for work in 1 year, then we will not come to ask for votes again, this victory will increase our courage. The people of Jalandhar will benefit four times more, the government will develop the constituency, Rinku Loksabha, Rajsabha MP Harbhajan Singh and Seechewal will also invest all their funds in Jalandhar. It is clear from the results that the people of Jalandhar have given a big victory to AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku, trusting the promises of Bhagwant Mann. After the victory, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also assured that his government will fulfill all the promises made to the people of Jalandhar within the next 11 months.

Akali Dal and BSP fought for the third position

The Jalandhar by-election has become a third and fourth battle between the Akali Dal BSP alliance and the BJP. Although when the counting of votes started, in the initial trend, Sukhwinder Sukhu, the candidate of Akali Dal, surprised everyone by reaching the second number, but within a few minutes, the party slipped to the fourth number. The BJP Akali Dal was ahead of the BSP alliance till about 90 percent of the votes were counted, but after that the Akali Dal candidate took the lead. The lead gap between the two increased to 24,000. The candidates of both the Akali Dal alliance and the BJP have together secured three and a half lakh votes. Akali candidate Sukhwinder Sukhi has secured 158354 votes. While BJP candidate Inder Iqbal Singh got 134706. A big statement of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann has come out from this victory.

The importance of Jalandhar by-election results

The question of what are the significance of Jalandhar by-elections has become big now. From the point of view of Aam Aadmi Party, it has come out as a lifeline for the party before the Lok Sabha elections next year. The people of Jalandhar rejected the issue of law and order which the opponents were constantly besieging the government. Although it will be difficult to say that the mood of the people of Jalandhar will be applicable in the whole of Punjab, it is too early to know this, but after losing a stronghold like Sangrur, the party and especially the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann broke the stronghold of the Congress. And AAP Supremo Kejriwal must have breathed a sigh of relief.

Because Mann’s seat was at stake and Kejriwal’s dream of taking the party to the whole country was somehow connected with the results of this election. AAP will now be able to go strong in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan assembly elections in October. On the other hand, municipal elections are to be held in Punjab before the Lok Sabha. AAP will be able to enter the fray strongly.

In Jalandhar, from the nomination to the election campaign, the rebellious attitude of the Congress leaders was seen as AK. State party president Raja Waring, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Pratap Bajwa were seen campaigning hand in hand but now this picture may be something else. Now at any time the tone of the leaders can change and fingers can start pointing at each other.

This can be a warning bell for the party. By winning the Jalandhar by-election, the party could have come out strong in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, but now the morale may be reduced. The seat of the most important state president, Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, is also in danger, after Sangrur, he also lost Jalandhar Garh. While he was the party president, the stalwarts of the party went to the BJP. Navjot Singh Sidhu can now surround him on the same issue and put his point before the party high command. If this happens, the clash of Congress before the Lok Sabha elections will bring new trouble for the party.

Although Akali Dal has come third in the Jalandhar by-election, this is not a good thing for Sukhbir Singh Badal, but it is certainly a relief. Like Sangrur, if he had stayed at number four in Jalandhar too, then there would have been double trouble for Sukhbir Singh Badal. However, the BSP alliance has proved to be a bargain for the Akali Dal in Jalandhar. BSP is strong in Jalandhar. But if the Akali Dal wants to strengthen itself in the whole of Punjab, it will have to form a combination with the BJP and the BSP so that it can challenge the AAP and the Congress in the next elections.

On the other hand, talking about BJP, Jalandhar’s performance has been good. The party has got a good vote in the cities. BJP was already considered strong in the cities. Now the BJP will have to think whether it will go back to the alliance with the Akali Dal or spend some more time scouting the ground on its own. It may also happen that if the Akali Dal offers a few more seats to the BJP in the Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha, then the two parties may come together soon. BJP’s plan B to contest the election alone is to make the Akali Dal feel its strength.

Mann won the battle of the image

After the victory of the Jalandhar by-election, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann reached Delhi and expressed his happiness by hugging AAP supimo Arvind Kejriwal. On this occasion, AAP supremo Kejriwal said that when there was a movement of AAP in the assembly elections of 2022, the party had won 92 seats, but we could win only 4 out of 9 seats from Jalandhar. But this time we have won 7 out of 9 assembly constituencies, we are behind only in Jalandhar Central and Jalandhar North. In the 2022 assembly elections, we got 42 percent votes in the whole of Punjab but only 28 percent votes in Jalandhar, but today we have increased it to 34 percent.

One and a half years ago, we were at the third position in the Vidhan Sabha constituencies Phillaur, Shahkot, Adampur, Jalandhar North, but in the result of the Jalandhar by-election, we have won 3 out of four seats, we were second in one seat. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections we got only 2.5% votes but after 4 years we got 34% votes. Kejriwal said that people have defeated the politics of familyism, we are re-entering the Lok Sabha. We hope that one day we will have a majority in the Lok Sabha.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that people have stamped the work of our government for 14 months. We asked people to vote in the name of schools and mohalla clinics, people saw the promise of free electricity fulfilled. Instead of negative, positive politics has been stamped. I congratulate all Aam Aadmi Party workers, this victory belongs to all. Those who made offensive comments about me, said bad things, said personal things, I say they should do well too.

People don’t pay attention to this anymore they vote only on the issue of development. The people of Jalandhar have believed, then we will shine the city, after the victory, my courage has increased. We used to say that in 11 months our MP will do so much that next time we don’t have to fold our hands and ask for votes. Next time people vote based on our work. Akali Dal, BJP, Congress were all together, they fought together, but people rejected all of them and stamped their actions.
