New Delhi. The central government has started preparations for International Day for Yoga 2023. Like every time, this time also the Prime Minister’s Awards will be announced on Yoga Day. The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India has started the application or nomination process for Prime Minister’s Awards (PM Yoga Awards) for Yoga Day 2023. If you also feel that you are doing remarkable work in the field of Yoga in the country or abroad, then you can apply for it.

Explain that these awards are given for the exemplary contribution made for the development and promotion of Yoga at both national and international levels. Ministry of AYUSH has invited applications or nominations for Prime Minister’s Awards for Yoga Day-2023. These awards are given for the contribution made for the development and promotion of Yoga at both national and international levels.

This time two national awards will be given to institutions of Indian origin and two international awards to institutions of Indian or foreign origin. The winners will be announced on the occasion of 9th International Yoga Day (21 June 2023). Explain that the application or nomination process for the awards is currently hosted on the MyGov platform (https://innovateindia.mygov.in/pm-yoga-awards-2023/). The link for this is also available on the website of the Ministry of AYUSH and the National Awards Portal. The application or nomination process for this year’s awards will be open till March 31, 2023.

The Central Government has fixed a two-tier system for the selection process of the awards. For this, two committees i.e. Screening Committee and Evaluation Committee (Jury) will be constituted by the Ministry of AYUSH. The Evaluation Committee (Jury) is headed by the Cabinet Secretary and its members include Advisor to the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, among others. It lays down the selection and evaluation criteria for finalizing the recipients of the awards.

The Ministry of AYUSH is planning to organize this year’s International Day of Yoga globally by ensuring massive community participation. The Ministry will widely publicize the benefits of Yoga using WHO mYoga App, Namaste App, Y-Break Application and various people-centric activities and programmes. Various activities like IDY Pledge, Poll/Survey, IDY Jingle, IDY Quiz and ‘Yoga My Pride’ photography contest etc. are also set to be launched on the MyGov platform.
