Indian Railways: In a big jolt to rail passengers ahead of Holi, Indian Railways has canceled and diverted trains on Mailani-Gorakhpur route due to non-interlocking and doubling work on Lucknow and Gorakhpur railway divisions.
Decision taken with the aim of improving passenger facilities
In view of the doubling work between Daliganj-Badshahnagar-Gomtinagar-Malhaur stations of Lucknow and Gorakhpur divisions of North Eastern Railway, it has been decided to divert the routes of several trains on different dates. Public Relations Officer of Lucknow Division Mahesh Gupta told that these trains have been canceled for the purpose of improving passenger facilities.
