India won its third medal on the third day of the ongoing 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. The equestrian team has won the first gold medal of the day. The pair of Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Hirde Chheda and Anush Aggarwala won gold for the country after 41 years in this event.

India’s Ibad Ali won bronze in men’s sailing. Earlier, Neha Thakur won the silver medal with 28 points. This is India’s second medal of the day. With this, India has now won 14 medals in the Asian Games. which includes three gold.

While in swimming, the men’s 4x100m medley relay team has reached the final by setting a national record. Ankita Raina has reached the quarter finals of tennis. Earlier on Tuesday, India defeated Singapore 16-1 in hockey. Additionally, in judo, two players qualified for the quarter-finals to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

On Monday, the women’s cricket team and the men’s team won gold medals in the 10m team air rifle shooting.

Performance in different games on the third day

Equestrian: Gold medal after 41 years
India won a historic gold medal in the equestrian team dressage event. The pair of Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Hirde Chheda and Anush Aggarwala have won the gold medal in equestrian for the country after 41 years. Earlier, the country had won the gold medal in horse riding in 1982.

Ibad Ali won bronze in men’s sailing and Neha Thakur won silver in women’s sailing.

Hockey – India knocked Singapore out of the medal race
India got off to a good start with a 16-1 thrashing of Singapore on the third day of hockey at the Asian Games. Harmanpreet Singh scored 4 goals and Mandeep Singh scored 3 goals from India. Apart from them, Varun Kumar and Abhishek scored 2 goals each.
