Amargarh / Malerkotla November 07: There is good news for the farmers of Malerkotla district that the unit set up at Fatehgarh Sahib in District Fatehgarh Sahib will generate electricity by collecting about 50-60 thousand metric tons of paddy straw from Malerkotla district. It will be used in industrial units.

The Deputy Commissioner said that this will solve the problem of stubble burning in Ikala. Electricity will be used in industrial units.
The DC further said that the farmers who are burning stubble are being monitored through satellite, so they should not be in any situation as the government will not come to know. Along with taking appropriate action against the farmers who burn stubble, it has also been decided to cancel the arms licenses taken by them.
