In seven districts of Bihar, Shivhar, Madhubani, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Aurangabad, Gaya and Lakhisarai, hostels of 100 beds each will be constructed for the students belonging to backward and extremely backward classes. It was approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. A total of Rs 34 crore 91 lakh 81 thousand will be spent on the construction of the hostel building. There is a plan of four crore 98 lakhs for the construction of each hostel. The cabinet approved a scheme of Rs 6 crore 71 lakh for the construction of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur hostel in Khagaria district. Hundred students will be benefited in this hostel.

Approval of National Transit Pass System

National Transit Pass System has been approved by the cabinet for transportation of wood of any species outside the state. It will be issued by the DFO of the district. The cabinet gave approval to provide 7.115 acres of state government land to the Ministry of Education, Government of India, free of cost, for the construction of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Chautham in Khagaria district.

Patna Metro got land owned by all departments

The state government has removed the obstacle of land in the construction of Patna Metro Rail Project. Now all the land coming in the order of station construction and alignment for Patna Metro Rail will be handed over to the Urban Development and Housing Department on fee basis. In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, it was decided that the government land owned by various departments under the state government for Patna Metro will be handed over to the city development and development department on fee basis in the light of the letter from the Department of Revenue and Land Reforms. Municipal bodies will be able to spend the amount of profession tax

In the fiscal year 2022-23, the cabinet decided to spend 75 crores as a grant-in-aid on the basis of population among the working municipal bodies of the state, to the accumulated fund of deduction made earlier by the commercial tax department in the head of profession for the municipal bodies of Bihar. 128.55 crore approved for water supply in wards of Darbhanga

10 court rooms and Hajat Bhavan will be built in Dehri on Son
