High security digital jail will be built in Ludhiana: CM Hon

CM Bhagwant Mann reached Sangrur today and took salute from the parade of more than 200 jail wardens who have completed their training. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the construction of a high security digital jail on 50 acres of land in a village of Ludhiana.

CM Mann said that the Punjab government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore from the Union Home Ministry for the construction of this jail. There will be sitting and working rooms for the judge on the ground floor. Where arrangements will be made to keep the prisoners, so that incidents between the jail and the court do not take place.

Judges themselves will be able to sit here and conduct hearings. Apart from this, CM Mann also talked about taking land for the head office of the Jail Department in Sector-68 of Mohali. Also asked to bring mobile jammer technology soon.

It should be said that during this program, police and other jail officials including DGP Gaurav Yadav presented a memento to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. On this occasion, CM Mann said that discipline is such a thing, with the help of which every destination in the world can be achieved.
