Chandigarh: Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has thanked God and his well-wishers for getting relief from the High Court regarding the cases registered against him. He also talked about sending NSA papers to many youths of Punjab and sending them to Assam and said that many people, including him, had raised their voice against this push of the Punjab government. Apart from this, 4-5 months ago, he had made a tweet against the government, due to which these actions have been started against him and cases have been registered against him. Later, when he raised his voice in favor of farmers in Bhullath, another case was registered against him in Bhullath itself and later section 353 was added to it and made it non-bailable. They have also claimed that this complaint has been filed by putting pressure on SDM Bhulath.

He said that although he is not afraid of going to jail, but after taking the advice of some of his friends, he got bail from the Kapurthala Sessions Court on May 12, but before that, on May 11, FIR No. 30 was filed against him along with his wife. and has been registered against the late father, which is related to his ancestral land. Although the police is supposed to upload the FIR on the web, it has not been done.

Apart from this, an investigation is being conducted against them by the vigilance in another case. Addressing the Chief Minister, he has said that why this action is being taken against the women of his family. Khaira while directly addressing Chief Minister Mann has also said that this is the 13th FIR against him during a period of 25 years but when he is not afraid of BJP and ED then what are these complaints.
