Heavy rain alert in 7 districts of Punjab, bad weather in these cities since morning

Weather Update: It has been raining since night in Malwa and Doaba districts of Punjab. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 7 districts today, where there is a possibility of rain in the next three hours. While in the rest of the districts, there is a possibility of rain up to 50 percent. After the night rain, the average temperature of the state has dropped by 2.5 degrees.

According to the instructions issued by the Meteorological Department, rain is likely to occur in Patiala, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Hoshiarpur during the next three hours and winds can also blow at a speed of 40 km. While it rained in the morning in Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Pathankot.

Along with this, the monsoon has been normal this time in Punjab, but so far in the month of September, there has been 12 percent less rain than normal. Along with this, Punjab has recorded 404.5 mm of rain since June, which is 4 percent less than normal.

There is a possibility of rain on Sunday as well
According to information received from the Meteorological Department, there is a 50-60 percent chance of rain in Punjab on Sunday as well. Rain is likely to occur in entire Punjab except Ludhiana, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala on Sunday.

After this, there is no rain alert in Punjab till Thursday, but there will be a change in the weather once again from Thursday.
