GT Road to Chava-Samrala via Roopa, Bagli, Dehedu will be strengthened: ETO

GT Road to Chawa-Samrala Road: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will strengthen the GT Road to Chava-Samrala via Rupa, Bagli, Daheru road by fulfilling the demand of the people of the area.

Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO while giving this information said that this is a very important and high traffic road of Halka Khanna and Samrala and connects Halka Khanna with Halka Samrala. He said that the work of strengthening this road with an estimated cost of Rs 481.15 lakh is being started soon. The Public Works Minister said that the total length of this road is 4.40 km and the width is 5.50 meters. He said that this road connects GT Road (NH-44) and Chava-Samrala Road (ODR-56).

The Cabinet Minister further informed that this road has been approved under 5054 RB-10 Scheme of Punjab Government and 5 years maintenance after completion of road work is also a part of this project. He said that the tender process has been started and after allotting the tender, the project will be completed in 6 months.

He said that the Punjab government is continuously working to improve the infrastructure of the state. He said that a special plan has been drawn up to strengthen the roads connecting the rural roads of Punjab with the cities.
