4 new National Highways will be ready in Bihar by 2025, commuters traveling to Delhi will save time

The deadline for completion of four NH projects in Bihar is 2025. In this, the Buxar-Varanasi Fourlane NH-319A will be constructed in a length of about 96 km with a cost of about Rs 2774 crore. At the same time, the Barauli-Ghazipur four-lane NH will be constructed in a length of about 17 km at a cost of about Rs 1769 crore. Apart from this, the Danapur-Bihta four-lane NH will be constructed in a length of about 21 km at a cost of about Rs 4153 crore. With the construction of these roads, time and distance will be saved for the commuters traveling from Patna to Delhi.

Land acquisition process underway

According to sources, the process of land acquisition is going on for the construction of Buxar-Varanasi road. Approval has been given for the construction of Chausa-Buxar (Package 2) 4-lane bypass on NH 319A in Buxar district related to this road with a cost of 1060.16 crores. This too will be greenfield i.e. nasi road. This road will connect Purvanchal Expressway and Buxar-Varanasi Greenfield Road.

Bareilly-Ghazipur Road

The estimated cost of the Barauli to Ghazipur road to be built in a length of about 17 km is about Rs 1769 crore. For this, approval was given by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Its DPR has been made and land acquisition has started for it. There is a possibility of starting the construction process by selecting an agency from the tender to make this four-lane road.

Danapur-Bihta Fourlane Elevated Road

State’s first longest four-lane elevated road will be constructed from Danapur to Bihta in about 21 km length and four-lane road in 4.08 km length. In this, bypasses will be made at four places from the existing road between Shiwala to Bihta. These bypasses will be built at Neuraganj, Panal, Kanholi and Vishanpura. Provision has also been made for Atgrade Link Road to go to Bihta Airport from this road. On January 6, 2023, Ashoka Buildcon Limited has proposed the lowest in the financial bid for construction at a cost of about Rs 2161 crore.
