Goods of boot polishers were blown up by mischievous elements, MLA Ajitpal Kohli announced compensation

This morning near Sheranwala Gate of Patiala city, the sheds and goods of boot polishers and shoe repairers have been set on fire by some mischievous person. The person who started the fire has been caught by the people and handed over to the Kotwali police, but the reason for setting the fire is not being told.

As soon as this incident was known, volunteers led by Aam Aadmi Party Patiala senior leader Sandeep Bandhu, Jagtar Tari reached the spot and informed the MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli about the entire incident. MLA Kohli has expressed sympathy with the boot polishers who have suffered losses.

This morning, a person was allegedly setting fire to the boot repair and polishers’ pits near Sheranwala Gate, who was stopped by a Dodhi, but when the Dodhi left, he started the fire. He was caught by the security guards of State Bank of India and handed over to the police.

After going to the police, the man kept laughing but did not tell about the reasons for setting the fire. The fire was put out by the general public but the boot polishers suffered a lot. 10 people have been polishing boots here for a long time. They have demanded that their losses be compensated.

MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli strongly condemned this unfortunate incident and expressed sympathy with the boot polishers. He said that whatever loss the boot repair and polishing community has suffered due to this unfortunate incident, compensation will be given by me as soon as possible. I will not allow any harm to these brothers of mine. The entire city of Patiala is my family and it is my duty to stand by my family in their pain and take care of them.

MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli warned the mischievous elements and said that I will not tolerate such anti-social incidents in my Patiala city at all and the wrongdoers will be severely punished. On this occasion, he interacted with senior officials of the police administration and gave necessary instructions to intensify patrolling in the city and to take strict action against anti-social elements.

Party leaders Sandeep Bandhu, Jagtar Tari, Simranpreet Singh, Jagtar Jaggi, Sumit Takeja, Angrez Singh, Hemant Sunaria, Ajay Goyal and Sunny Dabi also arrived on this occasion.
