Good news on DA of central employees, 4% increase in salary

After a few months of waiting, the dearness allowance figures of central employees will be fully clear. However, on the basis of the AICPI index that came out in April, it has become clear that how much will the central employees get an increase in DA this time? There has been a good jump in the April based AICPI index data. It is clear from this that DA of employees will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent.

42 percent dearness allowance is given

At present, 42 percent dearness allowance is given to the employees by the government. After an increase of 4 per cent, it will increase to 46 per cent. This time an increase of 0.72 points has been recorded in the AICPI index. The increase in figures will benefit 52 lakh central employees and 48 lakh pensioners. Earlier, a new dearness allowance was implemented by the government from January 1, 2023. The new dearness allowance will be effective from July 1. An announcement in this regard will be made by the government in August or September.

The April figure came last May
Let us tell you that how much the dearness allowance of central employees will increase, it is decided only on the basis of AICPI index. AICPI data for the first month is released at the end of every month. The April figure was released last May. April’s AICPI index increased as compared to March. It was at 133.3 points in March, now it has increased by 0.72 points to 134.02. It is clear from this that this time too there will be a good increase in DA.

This number decreased in February
From January to April this year, this number has decreased in February. It is seeing a continuous increase in the rest of the months. In January 2023, the AICPI index stood at 132.8 points. After this, it fell to 132.7 points in February. There was a jump in March to 133.3 points. Now in April it has increased to 134.02 points.

Dearness allowance has increased from 45 per cent to 45.04 per cent based on April AICPI index. AICPI index numbers for May and June are yet to come. With DA crossing 45 percent, it is clear that this time too it will increase by 4 percent to 46 percent. Earlier, the DA score was 44.46 percent based on March data.

Who releases the data?
AICPI On the basis of the index, how much the government will increase the dearness allowance of the employees? On the last working day of every month, the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) data is released by the Ministry of Labour. The index is compiled for 88 centers and the entire country.

How much money will increase
At present, if the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 18000, then he gets 42% dearness allowance ie Rs 7560. But if the dearness allowance increases to 46 per cent, then the dearness allowance will be Rs 8280 per month. According to this, the salary will increase by 720 rupees every month.
