Aam Aadmi Party’s victory in Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-elections. Currently the counting is in the final stage. AAP’s candidate Sushil Rinku is leading by 57687 votes from Congress’s Karamjit Chaudhary. A formal declaration of victory is yet to be made. AAP workers have started celebrating.
Congress has been winning this seat for the last 4 times. AAP has been advancing on this stronghold of Congress since the beginning. In view of the victory, AAP has called a press conference in Jalandhar.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reached Delhi. Where he will meet AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal shortly. In the evening, he will participate in the engagement of Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab Raghav Chadha with Bollywood actress Parneeti Chopra.
