Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) officials said on Tuesday that the work on the first runway and one terminal of the airport would be completed by the end of 2024. With this, the first flight will be taken from this international airport. The work of the first phase of the airport is expected to be completed by the stipulated time. Let us tell you that the terminal forecourt of Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) will have stairs like the famous ghats of Varanasi and Haridwar, which will welcome people and bring them together. A courtyard will allow fresh air and sunlight into the terminal building while providing the look and feel of a mansion. A white, translucent, wavy ceiling inspired by the region’s important rivers will give the effect of a flowing river. The passenger terminal will have decorative lattice screens inspired by Indian architecture. Noida International Airport will thus be a grand gateway to the state of Uttar Pradesh.

This airport is spread over 1334 hectares.

The site of Jewar Airport is spread over 1334 hectares. One floor of the passenger terminal is approximately 34,000 sqm, which is equivalent to four football fields. At present more than 2,600 workers are deployed at this airport site and the maximum number is expected to touch 6,000 workers, as claimed by the officials. Since the two contracts for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) were awarded to Tata Projects Limited last year, earthwork, leveling and excavation work at the project site has been completed. Vertical construction is underway, and substructures are taking shape. A number of buildings will go up over the next few months, including a passenger terminal building, office block, sewage and water treatment plants and an electrical substation on the site.

4,000 m long and 45 m wide runway

The airport will have a 4,000 meter long and 45 meter wide runway. The ATC tower will stand at a height of 40 metres. It will provide a 360-degree view of the airport to air traffic controllers, who will be able to see the airport’s runway, apron and taxiways. NIA has floated tenders for various aeronautical and non-aeronautical concessions for the airport. Air India SATS (AISATS) was recently selected to develop a Multi-Modal Cargo Hub (MMCH) at the airport, while Roseate Hotels & Resorts was awarded the concession to develop an airport hotel at the Noida International Airport. Has been. Spread over 80 acres of land, the upcoming MMCH will provide quick, convenient and intermodal connectivity to manufacturing hubs in the country. The cargo and logistics infrastructure and ecosystem will cater to a distinct catchment area and several upcoming industrial clusters in the NCR and Uttar Pradesh, forming a cargo gateway to northern India.
