The state Congress and Aam Aadmi Party leadership have divergent paths over the INDIA alliance in Punjab. Senior leaders of both the parties are making serious accusations against each other. Senior Punjab Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa has completely rejected the AAP-Congress alliance in the state. Bajwa tweeted that the Punjab Congress cadre is not in a mood to form an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party for the upcoming general elections.

Desperate for alliance with AAP-Congress

Pratap Singh Bajwa wrote that even after being in power in the state for the last 18 months, the Aam Aadmi Party is desperate for an alliance with the Congress. No leader of Punjab Congress has ever issued any statement about contesting elections in alliance with AAP.

He said that AAP leaders have lost ground in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party’s victory in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections was a political experiment that has failed miserably.

Congress struggling with domestic conflict – Gogi

MLA Gurpreet Gogi has also attacked Bajwa’s tweet. Gogi said that all the parties need to come together to end the corruption of the Modi government in the country today. The Punjab Congress needs to take advice from the situation in the country that an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party can only happen if the Congress is united in one voice. There is a need to put an end to the problem of chair in the party. You can think of an alliance with the party only when the Congressmen resolve their differences.
