Due to the rain in Himachal, the water in Sutlej and other rivers has also increased. The level of Bhakra Dam has crossed 1651 feet. The danger level of Bhakra Dam is 1680 feet. The water level is 29 feet below the danger mark. However, the water in the dam has risen 6 feet above the level of the flood gate.

Fury of rain in Jalandhar

Rain has caused a lot of destruction in Jalandhar. A big tree has fallen in the sodal in the city. Along with this, the four walls of the temple have collapsed. It has also blocked half the road. A Bolero vehicle parked near the wall has also been hit by it. Along with this, a three-storied poultry farm has been destroyed due to rain in Nussi village.

Babbu Maan’s house drowned

On the other hand, on Saturday, the Dhusi dam built on the Sutlej river in Ferozepur broke. After this, the water started spreading in the surrounding areas. 2 schools under Sardulgarh Government Senior Secondary School Khaira Khurd and Government Elementary School Khaira Khurd have announced holidays from July 24.

Storm warning issued

Due to the alert of the Meteorological Department, teams are keeping watch in the areas around Ravi, Beas, Sutlej, Ghaggar in the respective districts. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder may occur in other areas of the state from July 22 to 24. A storm alert has been issued.

People are being evicted in 7 villages

Meanwhile, rescue operation is going on from 7 villages in Gurdaspur. The water level in Ravi is fine. Due to which soil bags are being filled around Ravi. So that any situation can be controlled immediately.
