Pramod Jha, Patna. Digging of soil for piling has started near BN College in the double decker flyover to be constructed from Kargil Chowk to NIT Mor in Ashok Rajpath. After piling up to Kulhadiya Complex, the work of making ramp will start from BN College to Kargil Chowk. About four dozen shops will be demolished near BN College to make the ramp. According to experts, the construction work of the ramp will start next month. Before this all the shops will be removed. For boarding and alighting on the double-decker flyover, a ramp will be constructed ahead of BN College before Kargil Chowk. With the construction of the ramp, both the side service lanes will be widened. The construction of the double decker flyover is likely to be completed by January 2025.
Shops are 60 years old
The source said that the shops near BN College are about 60 years old. Shops were provided by the Municipal Corporation to the people for doing business. Rent is collected by the Corporation. The official source of the Municipal Corporation said that for the construction of the double-decker flyover, the space there is to be used for making service lanes. That’s why shops will break. There is a plan to shift the shop to the corporation’s land. Land is being searched for this.
Piling work near Patna College in final stage
Piling work has been completed from Patna College to Science College for the construction of double decker flyover. Right now the piling work between Khazanchi Road to Patna College is in the final stage. Therefore, in the next phase, piling work has started for the construction of flyover between BN College and Kulhadiya Complex. After this work has to be done between Kulhadiya Complex to PMCH.
Service lane repair work started
After the piling work of double decker flyover from Khazanchi Road to Science College is completed, the work of repairing the service lane has started. Ballast work is going on in the university side. While on the other side, the upper part of the damaged road has been uprooted and made plain, so that people do not face any problem in movement. An official source of Pul Nirman Nigam said that the service lane will be repaired before March 31. Prabhat Khabar had prominently published the news regarding the repair of the service lane and the problems faced by the people. After this, the Pul Nirman Nigam started the process of repairing the service lane.
