Chandigarh: The Punjab government has declared April 27 as a holiday on the demise of Shiromani Akali Dal patron and former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. The Punjab government has issued a notification in this regard.

It has been said in the notification that former Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal has passed away. In this regard, the Punjab Government announces a day holiday in all the offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions of the Punjab Government on 27-4-23 Thursday.

Two days of royal mourning in the state:

Royal mourning has been declared in the state. In this regard, after the announcement of two days of national mourning by the central government, the Punjab government has sent a notification to the deputy commissioners of all the districts of the state. In which national flags on government buildings will be at half mast. Meanwhile, there will be no entertainment in government offices.

Let us tell you that late yesterday evening, the former Chief Minister of Punjab. Parkash Singh Badal and the patron of Shiromani Akali Dal passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 95 in the evening at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali. He was admitted to the hospital last Friday.
