Here is the step by step method of preparing garam masala at home

Take out all the whole spices in a big plate. Now see if there is any kind of dirt, pebbles, etc. in it.

Do not use old spices as they are more prone to fungus and insects. At the same time, it is necessary to check new spices thoroughly.

Then dry these spices thoroughly in the sun for at least 2 days. After drying in sunlight, dry roast it before preparing it as a spice.

Keep in mind that the spices should not turn red. Roast only for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame. After that keep them to cool down for some time.

Take out nutmeg from these roasted spices and crush it separately and cut it into small pieces.

Then put all the remaining whole spices and nutmeg in the blending jar and grind them together well.

When the spices become powder, filter them through a sieve and grind the remaining spice pieces again.

Your garam masala is ready, store it in an air tight jar.
