Official spokesperson said that till 8 am on July 17, 1422 villages have been affected by the flood. A total of 168 relief camps have been established in the state, out of which 16 camps are running in Patiala, 16 in Rupnagar and 7 in Moga. Similarly, 3 in Ludhiana, 1 in Mohali, SBS. 2 relief camps have been set up in Nagar, 27 in Sangrur, 18 in Ferozepur, 3 in Hoshiarpur, 7 in Tarn Taran, 38 in Jalandhar, 8 in Kapurthala, 2 in Fazilka and 20 in Mansa.
18 districts affected by floods
It is worth mentioning that Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Kapurthala, Patiala, Moga, Ludhiana, S.A.S. Nagar, Jalandhar, Sangrur, SBS. 18 districts including Nagar, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Mansa and Pathankot have been affected by the floods. According to the reports received by the revenue department from different districts, a total of 35 people have lost their lives and 15 have been injured due to floods in the state while 3 are still missing.
To speed up the relief operations in the state, 26250 persons have been evacuated and taken to safe places. 1422 villages have been affected by the flood till 8 am on July 17. A total of 168 relief camps have been established in the state.

According to the information received from the animal husbandry department, a total of 1728 animals were treated and 4283 animals were vaccinated in the state. Rescue teams of the department are working day and night to provide treatment, feed supply, fodder and silage to the needy animals.
437 Rapid Response Teams working in flood affected areas
The teams of the relief department are working diligently in the flood affected areas. According to the spokesperson, 437 Rapid Response Teams are working in the flood affected areas. The health department has set up 243 medical camps in the affected areas and OPDs. The total number is 7551.
He further informed that dry food packets are being distributed continuously in the flood affected areas. 21,420 in Rupnagar, 64,000 in Patiala and SAS. 3800 packets have been distributed in the city.
