Flights will start from Sahnewal Airport in Ludhiana today. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will make the airport operational. The first flight from Hindon domestic airport will arrive at Sahnewal Airport at 10.50 am, while the take off flight is at 11.10 am, which will reach Hindon at 12.25 pm. All preparations have been completed for the operationalization of the airport.

Apart from Bhagwant Mann, other ministers and leaders will also arrive at the airport. All the necessary work has been completed by the airport staff. Earlier, Rajya Sabha member Sanjiv Arora said that the one-way fare of the said flight will be Rs 3148, which is reasonable for the Delhi-Ludhiana flight. MP Arora himself will leave for Ludhiana from Hindon. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Retired) General VK Singh will attend the inaugural flight to Sahnewal as the Chief Guest.
