Sangrur: Based on the invitation given by the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political), farmers are protesting today in 7 districts of Punjab. Protests in front of the district market offices in Malerkotla, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Faridkot, Moga and Gurdaspur. Demonstration is being performed.

Earlier yesterday, several issues were discussed in the front meeting held at a toll plaza in Samrala, in which the farmers have accused the government of implementing the agriculture law in the state in a hidden manner. Declaring silos of corporate houses as mandis is also a part of this conspiracy.

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal had informed about this that the government deliberately wants to eliminate mandis and that is why Syllogs are being declared as mandis. He has informed that this time the officials of Mandi Board Moga have written to him and informed that 8 mandis in the district have been closed this time. It is clear from this what is the intention of the government. It is opening the silos by closing the government markets and for this reason the people are being lured and threatened. Therefore, protests will be held across Punjab today and labor union, tractor-trolley union will also participate in it.
