Harjinder Singh Dhami: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, when a guard stopped a pilgrim at Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib and asked him to follow the etiquette, the narrative being created against the Sikhs on social media. has been severely condemned.

He said that the conversation between a devotee and a watchman of Sri Darbar Sahib in the past is being misrepresented. Advocate Dhami said that it is not right to make fanciful and baseless comments on social media to tarnish the image of Sikhs and defame the institution’s arrangements over a mere incident.

The Shiromani Committee President said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is a common place for people of all religions and the pilgrims who reach here are respected. But it is sad that anti-Sikh forces are leaving no stone unturned to tarnish the image of Sikh institutions. He said that spreading false propaganda on any incident is an act of breaking fraternity, which should be avoided.

Advocate Dhami said that in a recent incident, a girl was asked by the watchman to follow the rules. Although the Shiromani Committee has also started an investigation into this matter, still some people are deliberately pushing the matter in the wrong direction.

He said that every Guru Ghar, including Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, has a set of rules, which the Sangat must follow. Sometimes some people deliberately act against the rules, due to which the watchmen and attendants keep alerting the devotees. He appealed to the Sangat to take care of etiquette while reaching inside the Guru’s house, so that such incidents can be avoided.
