Ludhiana: In the case of Chef Manish’s death in a restaurant in South City on Saturday, the family raised a ruckus at the CP office and demanded action against the culprits. After this, acting on the orders of the authorities, the Sarabha Nagar police station registered a case against the owner of the restaurant and arrested him.

Also, the family alleges that the footage of the restaurant’s cameras was not found, which has been deleted. At present, the police are investigating the matter. The family said that Manish had done hotel management course from PCTE college.

After this he came back after working abroad for some time. Some time ago he came back to Ludhiana as after a month he went to America for a job. For this his documents were largely prepared and now he had to go for an interview at the embassy.

Before this, he worked as a chef in a restaurant in South City as a freelancer. He went to the hotel in the afternoon and at 6 o’clock he got a call from the father that his son has been electrocuted and he has been taken to a private hospital. When the family reached the hospital, the doctors said that Manish had died.

When Manish was working in the hotel, the chimney got electrocuted. The family alleged that when they were asked to show the CCTV, they said that the cameras were off, which is a blatant lie. Complained to the police but the police did not take any action.

When the family was in the CP office, SHO Amarinder Singh reached there. He said that Shivam, the owner of the restaurant, has been arrested. The family alleges that Manish had resigned on July 20 but was called anyway. This should also be investigated.
