The Counter Intelligence (CI) sub-unit in Abohar city arrested 3 youths along with a consignment of illegal weapons on Tuesday night. The team arrested the said youth at Gobindgarh T-point. All these three accused are residents of Fazilka. The police have registered a case against them with the State Special Operation Cell Fazilka and started the investigation.

In this regard, ASI Joginder Singh said that he along with his team was patrolling near Gobindgarh T-point on Malot road last night. Meanwhile, 3 youths on bikes were standing near the bus stand in a suspicious condition. When the police team moved towards them for investigation, the three youths got scared seeing the police and started trying to run away. When the police stopped and searched them, two country pistols of 315 bore and one pistol of 32 bore, 2 magazines and 7 live cartridges were recovered from them.

In the police interrogation, they identified themselves as Lavish son of Ravinder Pal resident of Krishna Nagar Street No. 4 Malot, Jatinder alias Kala son of Mal Singh resident of village Kothe Thogganian Fazilka and Kulwinder alias Kindu son of Kishan Singh resident of village Bikhs Fazilka. Currently, the police have arrested the three and started further action.
