Entrance Exam for Coaching at Ambedkar Institute of Career and Courses

540 candidates appeared in the entrance exam

Civil Services at Ambedkar Institute of Career and Courses, Phase 3B2, Mohali/P. C. S. (Pre) Exam-2024 Entrance Exam was conducted to select the candidates for Combined Coaching.
Giving more information, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Department of Punjab, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that there are 40 seats in this coaching course, 20 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, 12 Backward Classes and 8 seats for minority students. Subject to availability, 30 per cent seats for women and 5 per cent seats for disabled candidates can be included in each category.
The Cabinet Minister informed that at least graduate candidates belonging to permanent residents of Punjab State, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Minorities, whose parents’ income from all sources does not exceed 3.00 lakhs per annum are eligible.
790 applications were received for this examination and 540 candidates appeared for the examination.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the main objective of the coaching conducted by the government for the weaker section is to prepare students from the weaker section for civil services.
Under the guidelines of Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur and under the guidance of Principal Secretary Shri VK Meena, Director S. Jaspreet Singh, the Civil Services Coaching will be given at Ambedkar Institute of Career and Courses, Phase 3B2. Each selected candidate will be provided free coaching, free hostel accommodation and financial assistance of 3000 per month as per government norms.

Acting Principal Ashish Kathuria said that as per the demand of the learners, an attempt will be made to conduct the course for 80 children instead of 40 this year. He said that new courses and seats for SC, BC and minority and weaker sections will be increased from next year.
