The employees of the tehsils and deputy commissioner offices who went on strike against the alleged misbehavior of Ropar MLA Dinesh Chadha have called off the strike late on Wednesday night at the request of the MLA. On Wednesday night, MLA Dinesh Chadha made a post on Facebook and clarified that he had no intention to hurt any employee during the checking of the DC office.

He urged the employees to return to work. After this, late at night, the district president of the union, Jasbir Singh, announced the withdrawal of the strike through a video. He said that considering the situation of floods in Ropar district and public interest, the strike is being withdrawn by the employees.

All the employees will return to work from today Thursday. It is to be mentioned that the employees of DC office had accused MLA Dinesh Chadha of harassing and misbehaving. Due to this, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Employees Association Ropar had announced a pen-cutting strike.
