Hundreds of students preparing for the 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th annual exams in Punjab are in trouble because of their schools. Because the schools have sent their incomplete registration forms to the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).

The board has given the schools till January 19 to rectify the deficiencies in the documents of such students. The board has decided that the roll numbers of the students will not be released by the board if the schools do not correct the deficiencies in the documents within the stipulated time. Along with this, it will be the responsibility of the school heads.

Actually, all the government, aided, recognized and affiliated schools of Punjab have to register the students for the annual board examinations of the year 2023-24. Schools have to apply for continuation of registration to issue registration numbers to students coming from other states and boards for classes 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th. But it has been found that the documents of many students have been sent incompletely. In such a case, an error has occurred due to non-existence of documents in place of registration number of students. Schools can check this by visiting their login ID.

PSEB has now left all the responsibility of this matter on the schools. The board has said that the records of the students of the schools are bad. That school till January 19 PSEB. will be able to submit their documents at the Registration Branch, Headquarters at Mohali. So that the documents can be issued to such students on time. If the schools do not complete this process on time then neither registration number nor roll number will be issued to the students. Around 10 lakh students appear in all the four classes of the board.
