Bureau Report: DSP Sushil Kumar, who demanded a bribe of 50 lakhs in the case of the famous Baba Dayaldas murder case of Faridkot, has been arrested. This has been verified by Ferozepur Vigilance SSP Gurmeet Singh. At present accused Sushil Kumar DSP IBR Ludhiana was posted.
The family members say that DSP Sushil Kumar was called by Vigilance to Ferozepur office to join the investigation. SP Gagnesh Kumar, DSP Sushil Kumar, SI Khemchand Parashar filed anticipatory bail in the case to avoid arrest, which was rejected by the Additional Sessions Court and the District Court.
Demand for the immediate arrest of the named accused
In the case, the complainant and Baba Harka Das Dera chief Baba Gagandas has alleged that the police is not arresting the named accused. Due to which their lives are in danger. They demand from the police administration that the accused named in this serious case should be arrested as soon as possible.
A complaint was registered in Kotakpura police station
On June 2, 2023, Baba Harka Das Dera Chief Baba Gagandas filed a bribery complaint in Kotakpura Sadar police station. After investigation on the recommendation of Vigilance, the then SP of Faridkot Gagnesh Kumar, DSP Sushil Kumar, SI Khemchandra Parashar posted in the IG office, Mahant Malkit Das and Jaswinder Singh Thekedar were nominated.
A case of bribery after murder
Saint Baba Dyaldas of Gaushala Kotsukhya was murdered on 7 November 2019. In the case, 3 people including Jarnail Singh of Moga were made accused by the police. But Jarnail Singh was not caught. An application was made by Jarnail Singh to prove himself innocent, after which the SIT was formed under the leadership of Acting DIG Faridkot. Who had expelled Jarnail Singh from his investigation. When the police presented the challan, Baba Gagandas appeared in the court and told Jarnail Singh, the main accused of the murder. After this, the court summoned the general. Then Jarnail Singh reached the High Court for bail. The court saw how the accused of murder was declared innocent by the SIT. Then the investigation was handed over to IG Faridkot.
Demanded bribe in the name of IG
It has been revealed in the SIT investigation that a bribe of 1 crore was demanded to keep Jarnail Singh out of the murder. Now the SIT had to tell the High Court that Jarnail Singh should be made an accused. For this, the SIT members contacted Baba Gagandas and said that if Jarnail Singh is to be included in the case, the IG will have to pay a bribe of 50 lakhs. The deal was settled at 35 lakhs. 20 lakh rupees were given by the accused in the name of IG Faridkot. But its announcement took IG. Then they complained to Vigilance.
